This place is mind-blowing! The bar has such a super vibe, and the outdoor area overlooking the common is jaw-dropping. The manager is a legend, so friendly and knowledgeable. They even had oysters and English sparkling wine waiting for us at the bar when we arrived, talk about a wonderful start! The rooms are spacious and comfy, and they give you a wee jug of fresh milk for your tea, how delightful! The pub and restaurant have been through a stunning renovation, and the food is out of this world. The young owners are determined to make this place the best in the area, and they're succeeding. Though I can't wait for the building and rooms to be renovated, I'm definitely coming back for the updated experience!

Planned to see Harpenden major attractions and it was easy base for visiting all of them. The staff were very very helpful and amiable day and night. Location: the hotel was not far from an effort to tidy place and have a restaurant, the bars, and the surrounding area.
